$50-million renovation of 250 S. Wacker Drive, a 247,000 square foot, 17 story office building where we provided Owner Representation for the Boston real estate investment firm, AEW Capital Management L.P. The scope included a complete interior and exterior demolition and renovation consisting of new windows/curtain wall, new lobby, upgraded or replaced HVAC systems, four (4) fully modernized passenger elevators, upgraded electrical systems, new fire alarm, upgraded plumbing system, new fire protection system and a new 250kW generator plant.
Hotel 71
Chicago, IL
A massive renovation that transformed the aging Executive Plaza at 71 E. Wacker Drive, into Hotel 71. The scope included gutting all 454 rooms and refinishing them with new bathrooms, lighting, finishes and furnishings, updating the hotel's meetings and banquet facilities, 10,000 square feet of meeting space, executive boardrooms and boardroom suites. The renovation also included new building-wide heating and cooling systems, upgraded electrical risers, fire protection system and added sprinklers. The hotel remained open and fully functional during the large scope of work.
